Site Engineer

Project Type: DI Pipe Open Cut Laying Project

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor day-to-day site installation activities related to the DI Pipe Open Cut Laying project.
  • Ensure all execution works comply strictly with approved engineering drawings, designs, and specifications.
  • Oversee trenching, bedding, pipe laying, jointing (push-on/mechanical), alignment checking, and backfilling processes.
  • Coordinate effectively with sub-contractors, supervisors, operators, and labor forces to achieve targeted progress.
  • Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material reconciliation statements, and site logs to the Project Manager.
  • Manage and track the inventory, distribution, and utilization of construction materials and machinery on-site to minimize wastage.
  • Ensure strict adherence to site safety guidelines, environmental standards, and quality control protocols.

Educational Requirements:
Diploma or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from any recognized institution or university.

Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of active field experience.

Preference: Candidates with practical hands-on experience in DI (Ductile Iron) Pipe Laying or large-scale Water Supply Pipeline projects will be given top priority.

Additional Requirements:

  • Sound technical knowledge of open-cut excavation methods, trench protection, and dewatering systems.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in a demanding field environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and readiness to stay at or near the project site area.

Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and competence).
